Chagama Cast Iron Tea Ceremonial Pots

The Chagama is a pot used to heat water for Japanese tea ceremony.

The upper vessel is the boiling pot which holds a volume of water to be warmed by a heat source burning in the lower chamber.   Charcoals or hot coals from the fire are used to heat the water, although it does have the rings on the side to allow the boiling vessel to be removed and heated over a fire in the traditional way also.

These items will enhance your appreciation of the artistry of the tea ceremony,
and they are interesting looking pieces to decorate your home.
Please exercise caution when using the Chagama tea pots.  These are
